Captain Peter

Boating runs through both sides of Peter's family; he grew up cruising the BC coast and has since skippered in the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and up to Alaska. By day he is a yacht broker with Freedom Marine in Coal Harbour, the Canadian brokerage that sells more 35–180 ft boats than anyone in the country; he has walked hundreds of owners through sea trials, surveys and cross-border purchases. Every summer he spends about two months on the water himself, cruising Howe Sound, the Gulf Islands and Desolation Sound. His best customers tend to start the same way: a day out with Peter, a few good stories, and a boat that suddenly makes sense. A long-time member of the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club, he keeps his own Princess 50 flybridge there. With Yahull he skippers private days on her and on others he knows well — ideal if you want a relaxed day on the water, or if you are quietly wondering what owning a yacht would feel like.
