Terms of Service
Jurisdiction: British Columbia, Canada
Acceptance
By booking a trip through yahull.com you agree to these terms, to the cancellation terms shown on the trip's page and at checkout, and to the operator's own conditions of carriage where shown. This is an interim version written by our team; a counsel-reviewed version will replace it.
Service description
Yahull lists boat trips in the Vancouver / BC coastal area — fishing charters, whale watching, sightseeing cruises and private charters — sold by the seat or by the boat. Each trip page states what is included, the meeting point, duration, and the price in Canadian dollars.
Platform role
Yahull is a marketplace. Trips are operated by independent captains and companies ("operators"), not by Yahull. Yahull does not own or crew the vessels. We state facts about a trip and our own requirements for listing it; we do not certify a vessel or a captain, and we do not decide whether a given trip is suitable to run on a given day — that decision belongs to the operator.
Booking payment
You book on yahull.com and pay on a secure checkout page hosted by Stripe. Seats are held for 30 minutes while you pay; if payment is not completed in that time the hold is released. Your booking is confirmed when you receive the confirmation email with your order number. Yahull does not hold your card details. The price you see is the price you pay, plus any taxes and fees shown before you confirm.
Weather changes
Whether a trip goes out on a given day is the operator's decision. Yahull passes on official marine forecasts and warnings but does not judge conditions. If the operator cancels a departure, you receive a full refund or a rebooking of your choice. If you cancel, the cancellation terms shown on the trip page and at checkout apply. If a trip does not reach the minimum number of guests stated on its page and is cancelled for that reason, you receive a full refund.
User conduct
On board, the captain's instructions are final. Please arrive at the meeting point at the time stated; departures cannot wait for late guests and a missed departure counts as a cancellation by you. Guests who are intoxicated or who put others at risk may be refused boarding without refund, at the captain's discretion. Children must be supervised by an adult in the party at all times.
Liability
Operators are responsible for the vessel, its crew and the conduct of the voyage. Yahull is responsible for the accuracy of the listing as provided to us and for handling your booking. To the extent permitted by law, Yahull is not liable for loss, injury or damage arising from the voyage itself. Nothing here limits rights you have under the laws of British Columbia that cannot be excluded. (Section being finalized with counsel.)
Waiver reference
Operators may ask you to sign their own participation waiver before boarding. Where a trip requires one, the trip page says so.
Intellectual property
Text, photos and other content on yahull.com belong to Yahull or are used with the permission of their owners. You may not copy them for commercial use without our written permission. Photos you send us may be used on the trip's page only with your permission.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. (Dispute-resolution clause being finalized with counsel.)
